The BMW 1 series 3 doors was first announced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007. The 3 doors model is standing out with its sporting side line and agile driving characteristics.

It achieves a supreme standard of Efficient Dynamics through the new generation of four cylinder engines. The aluminium crankcase provides extra power and unique economy. This combined with a new common-rail fuel injection for the diesel engines and a High Precision second-generation direct fuel injection on the petrol engine models, takes the BMW 1 series to a whole new level.

The 1 series 3 doors have technologies such as Brake Energy Regeneration nad Automatic Start-Stop function. The Electric Power Steering are combined with lower rolling resistant tyres and furthermore it has a gearshift change indicator to encourage economical motoring.

These new innovations are in addition to the use of variable valve technologies and High-Precision Direct Injection engines on some 1 Series 3 doors and other models that boost power output but cut fuel consumption and emissions.
